World Premiere of Invincible the Musical

Aaron got to spend 3 months in Los Angeles playing 'Mercutio' in the world premiere production of Invincible the Musical. Trevor: A New Musical
September 2021 - January 2022
Aaron was so grateful to get to come back to NYC and theatre by being a part of this new musical Off-Broadway in the role of 'Jack'. Although the run was cut short, the experience is something that he will always treasure. "On with the show!"
"...Aaron Alcaraz, as the candy striper, achieves in two minutes... musical comedy lightness anchored in honest emotion."
- The New York Times
"...in a relatively brief but impactful role, Aaron Alcaraz as the hospital volunteer who handles the musical’s 'It Gets Better' moment with considerable charm, humor and powerful vocals." - Deadline
"Seen only once in the next to the last scene, Aaron Alcaraz as Jack, a candy striper in the local hospital... is a breath of fresh air." - Theater Scene
Mean Girls on Broadway
July 2019 - January 2021
Aaron made his Broadway debut in 2019 as a swing in Mean Girls at The August Wilson Theatre! He covered 7 male ensemble tracks as well as understudying the principal role of Kevin G. This was a dream come true and words can't express how thankful he is to have been a part of this grool team. His time at North Shore High was unfortunately cut short due to the show's closure amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic and Broadway Shutdown, but he feels so fortunate for the time he had with this super fetch chill dope crew.
IN THE HEIGHTS - MASON STREET WAREHOUSE
June 21 - July 14
Lights up on Washington Heights! Aaron had a blast spending a few weeks in Michigan to play 'Sonny' in In The Heights at Mason Street Warehouse! Seeing the 1st National Tour of this show is what inspired him to become a professional actor so this experience felt like such a full circle moment. For his portrayal of 'Sonny', Aaron was nominated for a Broadway World Award for Best Actor in a Musical.
RENT 20th ANNIVERSARY TOUR
September 2017 - May 2018
Aaron is so thankful to have had the privilege of playing Angel in the national tour of Rent. Getting to travel around America telling this special and important story was one of the most fulfilling experiences he's ever been a part of.
"But the night’s best dance moment involved Alcaraz’s sassy rendition of “Today 4 U” as a spry, heel-wearing Santa. As suggested above, Alcaraz is one of the standouts in this cast, as he channels its core message of love in a time of hate." - Journal Sentinel
"Aaron possesses all the sass you would think a drag queen should have and "Today 4 U" is the first high energy number of the show and he pulls it off with abandon. Definitely a great addition to this cast."
- The Column with John Garcia
"Alcaraz’s simultaneous comedic element was needed in a show that tackles such serious issues. It was fun to watch him strut across the stage in neon pink and Santa suits. Yet his silent death was heartbreaking. Alcaraz created infinite dimensions to his character."
- Marquette Wire
